I came to Canada at 18. I didn't know how long I'd stay or what I'd end up doing. A few years later I found baking in a kitchen at 2am, and it was the first thing in a long time that felt like mine.
I started ChewyPuff with one recipe I kept working on until I was actually proud of it. A thick, handmade stuffed cookie with a gooey centre, wrapped individually, made from scratch every time.
Ottawa showed up for me. At markets, through orders, every time someone shared what I was doing. So part of every cookie goes back to a local nonprofit — that's just how I wanted to run this.
It's still one person, one kitchen, one city.
